How far in advance should I book my event?
Our suggestion is to book your event as soon as possible in advance to
assure availability of your date. Dates do fill up very quickly and some
customers are known to book a year or more in advance. Most customers book
around 6 - 8 months in advance. Pending availability, we also book many events
with very little advance notice.
What is the minimum/maximum amount of time in advance that I
can book my event?
Pending availability, we will be happy to book your event from one day to
two years in advance of the event date.
Do you require a contract?
Yes, due to the time sensitive nature of the entertainment, videography and
photography
businesses we do require a contract and retainer on all events. The event date
is not held without receipt of the contract and retainer.
Do you require a deposit or retainer?
We do require a retainer fee, usually 50% of the total event
price at the time of booking.
What is the difference between a retainer and a deposit?
In the legal arena, a deposit is usually refundable, a retainer
is non-refundable and "retains" services on a specific date. A retainer is still
applied to the total price in the same manner that a deposit would be and
reduces the balance due accordingly.
Why do you require a retainer versus a deposit?
To further stress the point that once an event is booked, the
date may not be changed or canceled without the penalty of a forfeited retainer.
Can the retainer be less than 50%?
Yes Nick Peluso Productions may approve a retainer fee of less
than 50%. Please contact us for more information and approval.
